MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. The Russian armed forces have struck the command post of a brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces, which was created under NATO standards especially for a counter-offensive, a representative of the Russian security forces told TASS.
According to him, the servicemen of this brigade were trained in Western countries and they had Western weapons and equipment at their disposal.
"The 31st mechanized brigade, whose control center was struck by the Russian armed forces, was specially prepared for a counter-offensive. Its members were trained in the West, they were armed with NATO equipment and weapons. In general, it was created according to NATO standards," the representative said.
On February 18, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian forces had struck a command post of the Ukrainian 31st Mechanized Brigade in the Donetsk People's Republic.
