Russian forces evacuate more than 20 wounded Ukrainian soldiers left in Avdeyevka
The Ukrainian side fled from Avdeyevka even before the leaving the city was announced and left their wounded to die, the operational services of the Donetsk People's Republic told TASS
MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. /TASS/. Russian troops evacuated from Avdeevka more than 20 wounded Ukrainian soldiers left by their fellow soldiers, the operational services of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) told TASS.
"The Ukrainian side fled chaotically from Avdeyevka even before the leaving the city was announced. They left their wounded to die. Our guys are evacuating and saving them. At the moment, more than two dozen wounded have been taken out," the operational services said. The evacuation is ongoing.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, on February 17, during offensive operations, units of the Battlegroup Center completely liberated Avdeyevka and advanced to a depth of 8.6 km. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces in combats for the city in the last 24 hours alone exceeded 1,500 military personnel. Avdeyevka is located 13 km north of Donetsk.
