Russian contractors met delivery schedule for most-demanded weapons in 2023, Medvedev says
The politician said the recent series "intensive and effective" strikes on military facilities in Ukraine "confirms the Russian defense industry performed successfully and efficiently throughout 2023"
MOSCOW, January 11. /TASS/. All deliveries of highly demanded weapons went according to schedule last year, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said.
"I would like to thank you again for your efficient and well-coordinated performance last year. All deliveries of highly demanded weapons and means of destruction were completed as planned," he said at a meeting of a task force of the government's defense industry commission.
Medvedev said the recent series "intensive and effective" strikes on military facilities in Ukraine "confirms the Russian defense industry performed successfully and efficiently throughout 2023."
"What was used, as we know, was various delivery vehicles with different warheads. Except for nuclear ones, for the time being," the official said.
Medvedev added that he had briefed Russian President Vladimir Putin on the highlights of the task force’s performance, and the president then issued instructions on the subject.
According to the official, this year the task force will continue to monitor the execution of the plan for supplies of highly demanded weapons and will address issues related to their production.
