Russian airborne units proactively use EW systems during special operation

MOSCOW, January 4. /TASS/. Russian airborne units are proactively using Lesochek electronic warfare (EW) systems against quadcopters and FPV drones during the special military operation, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Units of airborne troops are widely using the Lesochek electronic warfare equipment in the course of the special military operation for protection against quadcopters and FPV drones," the ministry said.
The system makes it possible to significantly improve protection of motor vehicles, armor and personnel against remotely controlled mines and explosive devices on the move and in stationing areas, the ministry noted. "Any quadcopter or FPV drone coming within the system’s operating range loses control and communication with the operator, which eventually entails its fall," it added.
