MOSCOW, January 1. /TASS/. Russian forces eliminated over 260 Ukrainian troops and ten pieces of equipment in the Donetsk area in the past day, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"In the Donetsk area, units of Battlegroup South, acting in coordination with tactical aircraft and artillery forces, inflicted a defeat on enemy forces near Belogorovka, Kleshcheyevka and Andreyevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Over 260 troops, two infantry fighting vehicles and four pickup trucks were wiped out. In addition, three Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery systems and an AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar station were hit by counter-battery fire," the statement reads.
