MOSCOW, December 31. /TASS/. Losses of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Donetsk direction amounted to up to 300 military personnel over past day, three attacks by assault groups were repelled, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"In the Donetsk direction, units of the Battlegroup South - through coordinated actions in cooperation with operational-tactical aviation and artillery - repelled three attacks by assault groups of the 56th motorized infantry, 24th mechanized and 80th air assault brigades of the Ukrainian armed forces in the areas of Bogdanovka and Georgievka settlements in Donetsk People's Republic. Groups of enemy personnel were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Bogdanovka, Krasnoye, Kleshcheyevka, Andreyevka and Kurdyumovka of the Donetsk People's Republic," the ministry reported.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the total enemy losses in this direction amounted to up to 300 military personnel, two armored combat vehicles, and four vehicles. In addition, during the counter-battery fight, the following were hit: the US-made M777 howitzer, the Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer, the D-30 howitzer, the US-made M119 howitzer, as well as the US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter mortar radar.
