MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. The units of Russia’s Battlegroup Center defeated the assault group of the Azov battalion (banned in Russia as a terrorist organization) during the special military operation near the Serebryansky forestry, Spokesman for the group Alexander Savchuk told TASS.

"The units of Battlegroup Center continue carrying out missions of the special military operation in the Krasny Liman direction. The assault group of the 12th special purpose battalion Azov was defeated with the support of artillery near the Serebryansky forestry," he said.

The group’s artillery defeated three strongholds and areas of deployment of troops and equipment of Ukrainian militants, Savchuk said, adding that the enemy’s losses reached up to 100 troops.
