Russian defense minister arrives in Belarus to participate in CSTO meeting
According to the the Russian Defense Ministry, the meeting will discuss the military and political situation in the regions of collective security and present priority areas of activity
MINSK, November 22. /TASS/. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has arrived on a working visit to Belarus, where a joint meeting of the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils will be held on Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The meeting will discuss the military and political situation in the regions of collective security and present priority areas of activity during Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the CSTO," the statement reads.
"The documents concerning the development of the organization's crisis response system, the composition of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces and their support will also be considered," the ministry informs.
