US-led coalition’s aircraft violate Syrian airspace four times in past day

According to the deputy head of the Russian Center for the reconciliation of warring parties in the republic, Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, the incidents were recorded in the Al-Tanf area

MOSCOW, November 19. /TASS/. The US-led coalition’s fighter jets violated Syria’s airspace in the al-Tanf area four times during the past day, Vadim Kulit, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria (a division of the Russian defense ministry), said on Sunday.

"Aircraft of the so-called international anti-terrorist coalition led by the United States continues to create dangerous situation that may cause air accident or incidents and escalate the situation in Syria’s airspace," he said. "Two pairs of F-15 fighter jets violated Syria’s airspace in the al-Tanf area, across which international air routes run, four times during the day."

According to Kulit, militants of terrorist groups staged five shelling attacks on Syrian government forces in the Idlib de-escalation zone in the past day.

"During the day, five shelling attacks on positions of government forces were reported in the Idlid de-escalation zone from positions of the Jabhat al-Nusra and the Turkestan Islamic Party terrorist groups (both outlawed in Russia): one in the Aleppo governorate, one in the Idlib governorate, and three in the Latakia governorate," he said.
