US claims about Russian, Chinese military assistance to North Korea groundless — Kremlin
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov earlier dismissed as rumors Washington's claims that Pyongyang was providing military support for Moscow
MOSCOW, November 14. /TASS/. Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has dismissed US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s claims Russia and China help North Korea circumvent arms control sanctions.
"Certainly, we have seen this statement. But all such charges are absolutely unfounded. They are not confirmed by anything. Each new such statement further devalues all others on this score," Peskov pointed out.
Earlier, Austin said the US was "deeply concerned" that Russia and China were allegedly helping the DPRK build up its military capabilities, as well as "troubled by the recent growth in military cooperation between Russia and the DPRK." Also, the Pentagon chief claimed again that Pyongyang was allegedly sending weapons to Moscow to be used in the special military operation.
