Putin, Security Council discuss protecting against cyber threats
The meeting was held behind closed doors for journalists
MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has discussed the effectiveness of protecting the country against cyber threats with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council.
"Today we have an important and very urgent issue - not only for our country, by the way, but especially for us, taking into account the current situation - of increasing the efficiency of measures to ensure Russia's information security," the head of state said at a meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council.
The meeting was held behind closed doors for journalists.
The Kremlin website reported that the meeting was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Speakers of both houses of parliament Valentina Matviyenko and Vyacheslav Volodin, Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, Presidential Administration Head Anton Vaino, Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov and Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergey Naryshkin, and Head of the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control Vladimir Selin.
