MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. The Black Sea Fleet’s Project 11356 missile frigate Admiral Grigorovich is returning to Russia’s Mediterranean standing task force after planned repairs at a Baltic shipyard, a source close to the Russian Navy told TASS on Friday.
"The frigate is currently making a transit from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean Sea," the source said.
TASS has no official confirmation of this information yet.
TASS reported in May that the frigate Admiral Grigorovich had arrived at Baltiysk on the Baltic coast where it would undergo preparations for several days for its planned repairs.
As the press office of the UK Royal Navy reported when the Admiral Grigorovich was transiting the North Sea and the English Channel, the Russian combat ship was escorted by the Royal Navy’s type 23 frigate Richmond.
The Admiral Grigorovich is the first in a series of three Project 11356 frigates built at the Yantar Shipyard on the Baltic coast for the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
