GENICHESK, October 28. /TASS/. Russia’s Battlegroup Dnepr downed a Ukrainian Su-25 fighter jet in the Kherson direction, a local emergencies official told reporters.

"Units of the Battlegroup Dnepr destroyed a Su-25, enemy manpower near Alyoshkinsky Island, a D-30 howitzer and ammunition near the settlement of Tyaginka as well as enemy troops near a railway bridge and a 120mm mortar crew and ammunition near Lvovo as they delivered strikes in the Kherson direction," the official specified.

Also, a temporary deployment post for a Ukrainian unit was destroyed near the island, while the position of another Ukrainian unit was wiped out in the Kakhovka direction.
