MOSCOW, October 25. /TASS/. Russia’s battlegroup South has eliminated more than 200 Ukrainian servicemen in the Donetsk area, the group's spokesman Vadim Astafiyev told TASS.
"In the Donetsk area, the southern battlegroup inflicted a fire defeat on the enemy's manpower in the areas of Kleshcheyevka, Andreyevka and Kurdyumovka. The enemy lost more than 200 servicemen. In addition, the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) Protection Troops hit the Ukrainian 77th separate aeromobile brigade in the area of Artyomovsk from heavy flamethrower systems," he said.
According to the spokesman, three 155 mm Polish-made Krab guns, one 155 mm American M-777 gun and one 122 mm Gvozdika howitzer were destroyed during the counter-battery warfare. One 120 mm mortar was hit.
The Russian forces also downed nine enemy drones in the Zaitsevo and Berestovoye areas, as well as destroyed five HIMARS rockets.
