MOSCOW, July 31. /TASS/. No Russian citizens were injured in the terrorist attack in Pakistan, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

"According to available information, there are no Russian citizens among the injured. So far, no radical organization has claimed responsibility for the attack," she said in a commentary published on the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website.

Zakharova pointed out that Russia strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Pakistan and expects that "the organizers of this atrocity will be found and deservedly punished." "We express our sympathy and support to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to all those injured," she added.

On July 30, a suicide bomber blew himself up at a convention of the ruling coalition party. There were 400 people in the hall where the event was being held. More than 40 people died on the spot, including the secretary general of the Assembly of Islamic Clergy.

A state of emergency was declared in Bajaur. Hospitals in the province’s capital, Peshawar, have been put on high alert. Many of the injured are in critical condition.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered to launch an investigation and identify those responsible. The attack was condemned by Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the US and Turkey.
