Defense Ministry to sign contracts worth more than $4.7 bln at Army-2023 forum — minister
It is noted that at the forum, almost 1,500 enterprises will present about 28,000 samples of military and dual-use products
MOSCOW, July 31. /TASS/. Russia’s Defense Ministry plans to conclude contracts worth more than 433 billion rubles ($4.7 bln) at the Army-2023 International Military-Technical Forum. Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu announced this at a conference call with the leadership of the Russian armed forces on Monday.
"The Defense Ministry plans to conclude contracts totaling over 433 billion rubles. <...> The heads of 108 defense departments have been invited to the forum. The forum will showcase domestic military-technical developments that have been tested in a real combat situation," Shoigu said
At the forum, almost 1,500 enterprises will present about 28,000 samples of military and dual-use products, the Defense Minister added.
"The program includes issues of global stability in the context of the emergence of a multipolar world, interaction between the defense departments of different countries, as well as military aspects of regional security in Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa," Shoigu said.
According to him, independent experts, including Western ones, will be able to discuss topical issues on the agenda in the format of the "One World - Common Security" discussion club. In addition, the forum will host round tables on the special military operation.
The Russian Defense Minister also recalled that the 2nd International Anti-Fascist Congress will be held in August in Belarus and at the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Center in Kubinka near Moscow.
"Alongside with the plenary session, it is planned to hold a scientific-practical conference "Nazism in Ukraine: a look through the prism of the special military operation" as part of the workshops," Shoigu said.
The Army-2023 Forum will be held on August 14-20.
