Russia fully prepared to repel bio threats, Russians are in safety, top senator assures
Valentina Matviyenko pointed to the obvious proof that the bio labs in Ukraine had been set up "on order from the US defense agency"
MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Russia is fully prepared to repel potential biological threats and Russian citizens can feel safe, Speaker of the Federation Council (the upper house of Russia’s parliament) Valentina Matviyenko said on Wednesday.
Russia’s top senator made this statement during the discussion of a final report by the parliamentary commission for probing into bio labs created by the United States on Ukrainian soil.
"During the work of the parliamentary commission, we also got convinced that our country is fully prepared for repelling biological threats. As [Russian Deputy Prime Minister] Tatyana Alekseyevna [Golikova] confirmed, the relevant work is being carried out in our country in full and at a high professional level. And our citizens are in safety," Matviyenko said.
Russia’s top senator pointed to the obvious proof that the bio labs in Ukraine had been set up "on order from the US defense agency."
"This is hard to refute. And solely military rather than peaceful research and medical tasks were tackled there," she added.
"The information presented in the report will finally dispel all the illusions about the peaceful nature of US scientific research in Ukraine and will make the world look differently at America and its so-called ‘humanitarian’ mission in other countries," Matviyenko stressed.
