MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Russia has notified the United States of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch from the Kapustin Yar proving ground, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters on Wednesday.

"All notifications of launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles or ballistic missiles from submarines are being duly provided as usual," the senior Russian diplomat confirmed.

Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that the Strategic Missile Forces carried out the successful test-launch of an ICBM of a land-based mobile missile system from the Kapustin Yar testing ground in southern Russia’s Astrakhan Region on April 11. The launch was aimed at testing the advanced combat equipment of intercontinental ballistic missiles, the ministry specified.
