Ukraine’s targeted shelling attacks on Lugansk dying down, LPR leader says

Meanwhile, Leonid Pasechnik specified that Ukrainian troops had moved from targeted attacks on military facilities to indiscriminate shelling of civilians

MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. Ukrainian shelling attacks on the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) have become much less frequent and the situation in the region is stable, Acting LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.

"First of all, I would like to report that the situation in the republic is relatively stable at the moment and under control, I would say, but still tense. The enemy’s shelling attacks on the LPR are now much less frequent," he noted.

Meanwhile, Pasechnik specified that Ukrainian troops had moved from targeted attacks on military facilities to indiscriminate shelling of civilians. "They used to fire HIMARS rockets at the facilities where service members are stationed and ammunition and missile depots, but now, it is indiscriminate shelling, which mostly hits civilians," the acting LPR head explained.
