Beefed up air defenses cut Ukrainian attacks in half, says DPR leader

"That job was done, and there has been less frequent shelling - roughly half as much, according to the statistics at my disposal," Denis Pushilin reported

MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. Air defense and counter-battery control systems have been strengthened in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), which has helped to almost halve the amount of shelling by Ukraine, acting DPR leader Denis Pushilin told Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.

"Naturally, [Ukrainian] shelling has been key on our agenda. And we discussed [this] when we last met with you. I asked you about strengthening air defense and counter-battery systems. That job was done, and there has been less frequent shelling - roughly half as much, according to the statistics at my disposal," Pushilin reported.
