MOSCOW, March 30. /TASS/. An honest and impartial investigation is necessary to establish the truth around the situation in Bucha, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday.

"We are reiterating the importance of an honest, impartial and independent investigation [into the Bucha situation] to establish the truth. The investigation should answer four questions: identify the bodies, time and cause of people’s death, traces of possible movement of bodies," she said.

According to Zakharova, the situation in Bucha is "a provocation in order to launch a pre-prepared package of anti-Russian sanctions and disrupt Russia-Ukraine talks."

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov earlier spoke about the attempts to disrupt the talks that were held in Istanbul and were successfully progressing as early as last April. In October, the Russian top diplomat pointed out that the talks were disrupted "under a direct order of the United States and London," which "fully control the Zelensky regime."
