Ukrainian defense minister says preparations are underway for several counterstrikes
It was stated that the "formation of counterstrike corps" is now being completed
WARSAW, March 29. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops are wrapping up preparations for several counterstrikes, but the operations will have to wait due to reasons including poor weather conditions, Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexey Reznikov said in an interview with Gazeta Wyborcza that was published on Wednesday.
He said the "formation of counterstrike corps" is now being completed. Reznikov also said NATO supports Ukrainian plans and reiterated the plans require armored personnel carriers, tanks, ammunition and trained crews.
"In my view, we will have several strikes, but their direction, intensity and timing will be defined by the General Staff," he said, adding that the soil in the spring isn’t good enough for wheeled vehicles to move about, so there will be some waiting.
