MINSK, March 29. /TASS/. Russia is now ahead of the United States in the development of nuclear weapons for the first time ever, Mikhail Kovalchuk, the president of the national research center Kurchatov Institute, told the media on Wednesday.
"We have always lagged behind the United States in the development of nuclear weapons. Today we are ahead for the first time in history," he said.
