Moldovan defense minister sees no imminent military danger for his country
Anatolie Nosatii claims that these threats are created by Russia, which is allegedly trying to destabilize the situation in the republic
PARIS, March 13. /TASS/. Moldovan Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii said on Monday that he does not see any military danger for his country at present.
"There is no immediate military danger for Moldova at present, but there are other kinds of threats that affect the security of the country, this is hybrid warfare," he told AFP (Agence France-Presse) on Monday.
The minister claims that these threats are created by Russia, which is allegedly trying to destabilize the situation in the republic.
Mass opposition rallies have continued in Moldova since last year, mostly organized by the opposition party Sor. The demonstrators hold the authorities responsible for the economic crisis, during which the prices of food, gas, electricity and heating have risen several times.
Earlier, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed out that the Moldovan government puts an emphasis on everything anti-Russian, and is "sliding into anti-Russian hysteria." According to him, this harms relations between the two countries.
