MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. A man was wounded after air defenses shot down missiles in Novy Oskol in the Belgorod Region, the central Russian region’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported on his Telegram channel on Monday.

"Our air defenses were triggered in Novy Oskol. Three missiles were shot down. The consequences on the ground are being specified. It is known about one injured, a man with shrapnel wounds to his hand. An ambulance crew has already been dispatched to the site [of the incident]," the governor wrote.

Also, Gladkov said, the debris had damaged several facades and some power lines in some villages near the town. "All emergency and rescue services have rushed to the scene," the official added.
