MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. Two Mi-8 helicopters of the Ukrainian air force were downed by Russian fighter jets in the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, reported on Saturday.

The aircraft were downed near Suvorovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Dnepropetrovsk Region’s Pokrovskoye, he specified at a briefing.
