MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces suffered 490 casualties in the Donetsk direction in the past day, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Saturday.

Commenting on the advance by units of Russia’s Southern group of forces toward Donetsk, he also said that a tank, three infantry fighting vehicles, four pickups, ten cars, two Msta-B and three D-20 howitzers, a D-20 howitzer, and a US-made M777 howitzer had been destroyed.
