According to the president, the agency must seek to "improve the efficiency of the operational analytic work"

MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) actively participated in the special military operation last year, carrying out non-standard operational missions, including behind enemy lines, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, speaking at the FSB board meeting Tuesday.

"FSB units were directly involved in the special military operation," the head of state said, summarizing the agency’s work in 2022. The President noted that the FSB employees "carried out complex, non-standard missions, and covered the state border," and thanked them for their work both "on the edge - both on the liberated territories and near the frontline" and "behind enemy lines."

The head of state also noted that 2022 was special both for the FSB and the entire country, and he underscored that the board meeting will have to "define key directions to focus efforts on in the future."

According to the president, the agency must seek to "improve the efficiency of the operational analytic work."

"While doing so, I, of course, ask you to take into account those internal and external factors and basic development goals that I talked about during the Address to the Federal Assembly last week," Putin added.
