LUGANSK, January 30. /TASS/. Ukrainian units have been erecting fortifications and preparing additional firing points near Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) retired Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko told TASS on Monday.

According to Marochko, reconnaissance has been recording work to strengthen the positions. "Ukraine’s armed formations have been reinforcing old fortifications and building new ones, and work is underway to create firing points and place minefields," he said.

Ukraine is also deploying additional forces over there, Marochko added.
