VASILYEVKA /Zaporozhye Region/, January 19. /TASS/. Zaporozhye Region authorities have forcibly expelled three local residents, who provided information to Ukrainian armed forces about Russian units, into territory under Kiev’s control.

"For discrediting of Russian bodies of power and the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye Region, for obstruction of operation of bodies of social security and therefore destabilizing the social situation in the region, […] you are being subjected to a penalty of compulsory expulsion from the Zaporozhye Region," a security representative, codenamed ‘Batman,’ announced to the perpetrators.

The perpetrators themselves expressed no remorse.

"I used to work at the Zaporozhye NPP, I handed over information about the location [of Russian forces], about vehicles. […] My brother offered me to [hand over information]; I was doubtful at first, but then I gave him information after all. […] Yes, a disaster could have happened [as a result of Ukrainian shelling of the ZNPP]. I do not regret that it happened like this," one perpetrator, Nikolay Nazarevich, said.

Another one, Konstantin Kalibirov, said he handed over the coordinates of Russian forces through social media. The third one, a woman, denied any involvement in actions aimed against Russian forces.

"The expelled persons are a group of target designators, who await Ukraine, who firmly believe in it, they sabotage, they agitate for the Ukrainian authority, they receive money from the Ukrainian regime. You have seen it yourselves - the man does not repent despite acting as a target designator. […] We see them out appropriately, we provide them with papers; the woman was provided with transportation money to reach Zaporozhye in the temporarily occupied territory," ‘Batman’ told reporters.

In July, Zaporozhye Region head Yevgeny Balitsky signed a decree on compulsory expulsion of residents involved in terror attacks and their accomplices. Similar measures are being implemented for discrediting Russian authorities and for displays of extremism, endangering public security, obstruction of operation of social security bodies and the military-civilian administration, as well as for use of Nazi symbols.
