Shoigu says new combat methods for missile troops, artillery tested in special operation
The Russian Defense Ministry emphasized earlier that the use of missile, rocket and artillery units in the form of surveillance and strike weapons systems made it possible to hit targets in the real time
MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. Russian troops are testing new ways of combat use of missile troops and artillery during the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said at the ministry’s board meeting on Wednesday.
"Causing effective fire damage to the enemy is an important component of success in military activities. Missile troops and artillery play a significant role in this regard. New ways of their combat use are being tested out during the special operation. First of all, it concerns the use of surveillance and strike weapons systems, which include unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as modern and advanced models of weapons," he pointed out.
The Russian Defense Ministry emphasized earlier that the use of missile, rocket and artillery units in the form of surveillance and strike weapons systems made it possible to hit targets in the real time.
The Missile Troops and Artillery, an arm of Russia’s Ground Forces, are the main means of engaging the enemy with fire and nuclear weapons during military activities. They consist of missile, rocket and artillery brigades, regiments and battalions, both separate and as part of divisions, brigades and military bases.
