MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. The latest Russian Shershen hexacopter designed to disperse illegal protests by ultrasound will enter serial assembly in early 2023, Vitaly Dolgov, head of the laboratory of external piloting and UAV operation at the Kartsev Research Institute of Computing Systems that developed the drone, told TASS.
"We plan to begin producing Shershen in batches after New Year’s Day. Since mid-December - January we will be ready to show the hexacopter in action," he said. As reported earlier, the institute conducted successful trials of the drone with 100 volunteers.
Shershen is a drone with a radius of up to 10 km. It is made of Russian components and can also jam drones, operate in the oil and gas industry and monitor environmental emergencies.
