Russia says its artillery foiled Ukrainian attack in LPR

Konashenkov said Russian artillery fire brought the Ukrainian units to a halt and the enemy was pushed back to its initial positions

MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov on Saturday said Russian artillery fire foiled a Ukrainian attack in the area of Krasny Liman.

"In the area of Krasny Liman, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to attack Russian military units toward the settlements of Kolomyichikha and Ploshchanka of the Lugansk People’s Republics," he said.

Konashenkov said Russian artillery fire brought the Ukrainian units to a halt and the enemy was pushed back to its initial positions.

"The enemy’s losses were more than 40 killed and wounded Ukrainian servicemen, three infantry fighting vehicles and two vehicles," the general said.
