MOSCOW, November 20./TASS/. Ukrainian troops continue to shell the territory around the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, shelling the plant twice on Sunday morning, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Sunday.
"The Kiev regime continues provocations with an aim to create the threat of a man-made disaster at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. On November 19, Ukrainian armed forces artillery fired 11 large-caliber artillery shells at the territory of the NPP," Konashenkov said.
"On the morning of November 20, Ukrainian troops shelled the territory of the nuclear power plant twice," the spokesman added.
According to him, 12 shells were fired within just half-an-hour in the morning. "From 9:15 to 9:45, 12 large-caliber artillery shells were fired," he said, specifying that they landed not far from Units 5 and 4.
