LUGANSK, November 18. /TASS/. Russian prisoners of war were shot dead in the village of Makeyevka in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) by soldiers of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces, Andrey Marochko, an officer of the LPR People’s Militia, told TASS on Friday.
"The 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian armed formations will now be public enemy number one for our servicemen after what they have done in Makeyevka," he said.
Earlier, the Russian Investigative Committee launched a criminal case over the mass execution of captive Russian soldiers by the Ukrainian army. The Investigative Committee said on Friday that a video showing Ukrainian soldiers shooting at least eleven unarmed Russian servicemen who had been captured on the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic was the reason that the case was opened.
