The Russian armed forces drove a Ukrainian tactical group, reinforced by foreign mercenaries, into a minefield and dispersed it near Stelmakhovka in the Lugansk People's Republic, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov told reporters on Sunday.
"In the vicinity of the settlement of Stelmakhovka in the Lugansk People's Republic, a Ukrainian tactical group, reinforced by foreign mercenaries, made an unsuccessful attempt to attack Russian troops' positions simultaneously from three directions. Fire from Russian troops drove enemy units into a minefield and, after suffering losses, they dispersed," Konashenkov said.
