MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. Former head of Russia’s Roscosmos space corporation, Dmitry Rogozin, reported on Thursday that a ‘smart sight’ for mortars had been successfully tested in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

"Today in Donbass, our technical group <…> successfully completed trials of a ‘smart sight’ for mortars. Very soon, the new technology will be used in combat along the entire frontline," Rogozin wrote on his Telegram channel on Thursday.

The trials were held by servicemen of the DPR’s 1st army corps and a technical group from Tsarist Wolves, a recently established training center created to help DPR military units with military-technical issues.

Rogozin said the trials involved a 120mm mortar. "It was test-fired several times, and the targets were hit," the official said in a video posted on his Telegram channel.

In his words, more equipment and technologies designed by the center are to be tested in the coming weeks and months.

Rogozin announced the creation of a training center to provide the DPR military with technologies and technical help on November 7. The training center was named Tsarist Wolves. Its emblem shows a wolf with a crown against a black background.
