Russian Black Sea Fleet to beef up anti-saboteur measures in region

SEVASTOPOL, October 28. /TASS/. The Black Sea Fleet’s Military Council has decided to step up its anti-saboteur measures in the region amid the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine, the Fleet’s press office reported on Friday.

"The Fleet’s Military Council passed decisions to enhance measures aimed at fighting subversive forces and capabilities in the region and improve the system of informing local executive authorities on carrying out counter-terror operations, and also discussed other issues of the Fleet’s activity," the statement reads.

The Military Council’s meeting was chaired by Black Sea Fleet Commander Viktor Sokolov and attended by Crimean Head Sergey Aksyonov and Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev.

During the Military Council’s meeting, the Black Sea Fleet’s chief decorated some servicemen with state and Defense Ministry awards, the press office said.
