Over 25,000 people evacuated from Ukraine, DPR, LPR to Russia in past day

MOSCOW, August 25. /TASS/. More than 25,000 people have been evacuated from dangerous regions in Ukraine, and from the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics to Russia during the day, Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said on Thursday.
"Despite the severe counteraction by the Kiev regime, over the past 24 hours, as many as 25,308 people, including 3,482 children, have been evacuated from dangerous zones in various Ukrainian regions, and from the Donbass republics to Russia without participation of the Ukrainian side, and since the onset of the special military operation, a total of 3,655,615 people, including 583,531 children, have been evacuated," he said.
The military official also said that over the past 24 hours, 22 appeals have been received with requests for evacuation to Russia, to the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics as well as to the areas of the Zaporozhye, Nikolaev, Kharkov and Kherson Regions liberated by Russia’s armed forces.
"In all, the database has a total of 2,760,463 such appeals from 2,139 Ukrainian populated localities and the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic controlled by the Kiev regime," Mizintsev, who also heads the Russian Joint Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response added.
According to him, over 9,500 temporary accommodation facilities for the evacuees continue to operate in Russian regions.
