LPR, Russian forces encircling Ukrainians in Lisichansk, source says

The People's Militia of the LPR reported that the allies entered the city with five meetings

LUGANSK, June 27. /TASS/. Forces of the Lugansk People’s Republic and the Russian army have entered Lisichansk and are actively encircling the Ukrainian group of forces remaining there, a source close to the LPR’s militia told TASS on Sunday.

"There’s fierce fighting in Lisichansk. The allied forces have entered the city from five directions and have been tightening the noose on the city center," the source said.

The LPR’s Ambassador to Russia, Rodion Miroshnik, said earlier the Donbass republic’s military on an offensive towards Lisichansk had been occupying the city’s industrial zone.
