Almost 500 tonnes of humanitarian aid delivered to DPR residents – top brass
More than 39,000 tons of essential items and foodstuffs have been prepared at collection points, according to the Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW, June 26. /TASS/. Two humanitarian events are being held in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on Saturday, residents will receive 497.9 tonnes of humanitarian aid, head of Russia’s National Defense Control Center Mikhail Mizintsev said at a briefing on Saturday.
"On June 25, 2022, two humanitarian events are held in the Donetsk People’s Republic during which the population will receive 497.9 tonnes of basic necessities and food products," said Mizintsev who also heads Russia’s Joint Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine.
He specified that in all, the federal bodies of the executive power jointly with Russian regions, various civic organizations and patriotic movements continue to collect humanitarian aid and distribution centers have prepared over 39,000 tonnes of it.
Since March 2, the Russian Federation delivered to Ukraine 36,334.2 tonnes of basic necessities, food products, medicines and medical products, 1,216 humanitarian events have been held.
