Shoigu says improvement of joint air defenses is key defense goal for Russia, Kazakhstan

A new treaty on the development of military cooperation has entered into force, the Russian Defense Minister noted
MOSCOW, June 23. /TASS/. The improvement of the joint regional air defenses system and military-technical cooperation are key areas for engagement between the defense ministries of Russia and Kazakhstan, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said at a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Ruslan Zhaksylykov on Thursday.
"A new treaty on the development of military cooperation, which has determined the pressing areas of engagement between our ministries, has entered into force," Shoigu said.
"The key ones, of course, are the improvement of the joint regional air defense system of Russia and Kazakhstan, military-technical cooperation, personnel training, operational and combat training activities".
