Almost 190 tonnes of aid handed to civilians in DPR, south Ukraine on May 25 — top brass
Mikhail Mizintsev added that federal executive bodies continue to collect humanitarian aid, while more than 27,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid have been readied at collection points
MOSCOW, May 25. /TASS/. Three humanitarian actions were held in southern Ukraine and in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) on Wednesday in order to hand 189 tonnes of humanitarian aid over to people, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said.
"On May 25, 2022, three humanitarian actions were held in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Kharkov and Zaporozhye Regions, during which 189 tonnes of daily essentials and foodstuffs were distributed among the population," said Mizintsev, who heads the Russian Joint Coordination Headquarters in Ukraine.
The general added that federal executive bodies along with Russian regions, a wide range of public organizations and patriotic movements continue to collect humanitarian aid, while more than 27,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid have been readied at collection points.
Since March 2, Russia has delivered over 22,770 tonnes of daily essentials, foodstuffs, medicines and medical products to Ukraine, and 1,052 humanitarian actions have been carried out.
