Russian AD destroyed 10 Ukrainian drones, 2 Tochka-U missiles - spokesman
According to Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov, Russian combat aircraft struck 38 Ukrainian military facilities over the day
MOSCOW, May 2. /TASS/. Russian air defense systems destroyed ten Ukrainian drones and two Tochka-U missiles near the settlement of Donetskoye, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said on Monday.
"Russian air defense aids destroyed ten Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near the communities of Veseloye <…> and Balakleya in the Kharkov Region, Kiselevka in the Kherson Region, Mayak in the Zaporozhye Region, Dokuchaevsk, Korsun and Khanzhenkovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic, and near the city of Lugansk," Konashenkov said.
Two Ukrainian Tochka-U tactical missiles were shot down near the city of Petrovskoe in the Lugansk People’s Republics and a Smerch rocket missile was destroyed in the vicinity of Donetskoye community, the spokesman noted. Russian Armed Forces also shot down a Ukraine’s MiG-29 fighter during the air fight near Slavyansk.
Russian combat aircraft struck 38 Ukrainian military facilities over the day. "High-precision airborne missiles hit 38 defense facilities of Ukraine over 24 hours. Among them are four command posts, thirty strongholds, areas of the amassment of Ukrainian manpower and military hardware, and three rocket and artillery munitions depots near Pervomaiskoye and Ilyichevka communities. An Osa-AKM air defense system and a battery of MLRS near Arkhangelovka were destroyed as well," Konashenkov said.
Russian troops have eliminated 146 Ukrainian airplanes, 112 helicopters, 683 unmanned aerial vehicles, 281 air defense systems, 2,756 tanks and other armored vehicles and 316 multiple rocket launchers since the start of their special military operation in Ukraine, according to Defense Ministry’s data.
