LUGANSK, April 19. /TASS/. Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) Interior Ministry employees thwarted an act of sabotage that was being prepared in the settlement of Tsupovka, Kharkov Region, and aimed to discredit Russian forces, the Ministry’s press office said Tuesday.
"During the operation, the law enforcers discovered prepared and packed military uniform with Russian insignia, Molotov cocktails, weapons and ammunition. The nature of the cache content indicates a systematic and meticulous preparation of <…> sabotage, aimed at discrediting the Russian Federation," the press office said.
The Ministry noted that the sabotage was prevented thanks to information provided by local residents, who suspected that a sabotage group could be hiding in an abandoned house.
LPR police officers will "continue to fulfill their professional and combat duties" in accordance with the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Russian Federation and Lugansk People’s Republic, the Ministry said.
