Russian helicopters destroy Ukrainian air defense launcher, armored vehicles
The vehicles were camouflaged and hidden in forested area
MOSCOW, April 13. /TASS/. Russian Defense Ministry published video footage of Mi-24, Mi-28N and Ka-52 strike helicopters destroying Ukrainian air defense systems and armored vehicles.
"A group of Mi-24, Mi-28N, Ka-52 helicopters was performing ground forces support, when the leading helicopter was targeted with a Ukrainian Buk air defense missile. Under the leader’s command, the wingmen fired missiles at the detected launch location, destroying the launcher and the crew," the Ministry said in its commentary.
During their mission, the aviation crews also destroyed Ukrainian armored vehicles, camouflaged and hidden in forested area, with guided missiles.
The Ministry noted that the Army aviation performs missions on escorting convoys, elimination of armored vehicles, delivering airborne troops, military cargo, and air support.
