Ukrainian nationalists have mined reservoirs with chlorine at a water utility in the Popyasnaya district and plan to blow them up when forces of the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) approach the city, Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said on Sunday.
"In the settlement of Belogorovka, Popyasnaya district, neo-Nazis have mines reservoirs with chlorine on a water utility’s territory and plan to blow them up when units of the LPR People’s Militia approach the city," he said.
"Such actions and provocation by Ukraine’s authorities once again demonstrate their inhumane attitude to the Ukrainian people and reveal their utter disregard of all norms of moral and international humanitarian law," he stressed.
