Kiev turns down offer to open corridors from Mariupol for nationalists - Defense Ministry

"At the same time we guarantee the lives of the nationalists who lay down their arms, we will provide a humanitarian corridor for their exit to the territories controlled by Kiev," the general stressed

MOSCOW, March 18./TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces are ready to open corridors and let nationalists out of Mariupol, guaranteeing the lives of those who lay down arms, but Kiev refuses, the chief of Russia’s National Defense Command Center, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, said on Friday.

"We officially appealed to the Kiev authorities and announced two days ago that we are ready to open humanitarian corridors and let all your bandits go anyplace in order to save the city and the people from the so-called martyrs, who have already made their mark on the world by blowing up a kindergarten, two schools, a maternity hospital and the building of the Drama Theater," Mizintsev said.

"At the same time we guarantee the lives of the nationalists who lay down their arms, we will provide a humanitarian corridor for their exit to the territories controlled by Kiev. In response, we received the flat refusal, moreover from high officials of official Kiev," the general stressed.
