MOSCOW, March 8. /TASS/. Russia’s Baltic Fleet forces have started tracking US guided missile destroyers USS Donald Cook and USS Forrest Sherman that entered the Baltic Sea, the Russian National Center for Defense Management told reporters.

"Forces and facilities of the Baltic Fleet have embarked on tracking the actions of US guided missile destroyers USS Donald Cook and USS Forrest Sherman that entered the Baltic Sea," the center said.

USS Donald Cook is a fourth-generation warship whose main armament is nuclear capable Tomahawk cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,500 kilometers. The standard and strike armament options include 56 or 96 such missiles, respectively. She forms part of US Destroyer Squadron 60. USS Forrest Sherman is homeported at Norfolk.
