MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has submitted for ratification to the State Duma a protocol on amending CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) peacekeeping activities, which stipulates the introduction of the ‘coordinating state’ concept, according to the lower house’s digital database.
"The protocol introduces the concept of ‘coordinating state’ and stipulates that under its auspices, the CSTO collective peacekeeping forces would be set up for using in UN peacekeeping operations," the statement reads.
The protocol was signed on September 16, 2021, in Dushanbe.
